Ramaphosa: Let’s embrace ‘local is lekker'
Updated | By Neo Motloung
President Cyril Ramaphosa has urged South Africans to embrace local products.

The president said buying local contributes to the economy of the country and also inspires innovation.
However, Ramaphosa stressed that retailers have to also play their role.
"I would like us to reach a stage where it is part of our nature that we buy local.
"I want our stores to be at the forefront of this so that they actually direct our people, consumers, to shelves, to rows of locally produced products and they can do that in a variety of ways," said the president.
Ramaphosa gave the keynote address at the annual Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo on Tuesday morning.
