The motion was due to the debated in the National Assembly on Thursday.

The debate and vote was postponed after the Western Cape High Court was unable to hear an application by African Transformation Movement (ATM) for the vote to take place by way of secret ballot.

The court postponed the application on Thursday.

ATM spokesperson Sibusiso Mncwabe says the matter will only be heard in February.

“The court felt it needs a full bench of judges to hear our matter. The (National Assembly) Speaker did not oppose it and the matter was adjourned.”

Mncwabe says the party still believes that Ramaphosa is failing to lead the country.

"We have been saying that now and again, the main issue is that we are not happy with the leadership of Ramaphosa. We do not think that he is taking the country into a good direction.

“Looking at the failure of state-owned enterprises, the junk status, unemployment is up by 2 million people, corruption of R500 billion of Covid-19, which was meant to help ordinary people of the country, he is unable to take practical decisions and even to discipline his own cabinet members."
