Ramathuba vows to blacklist non-performing service providers

Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has warned that service providers who fail to complete their work will be blacklisted.

Ramathuba spoke at the launch of a Department of Public Works project dubbed ‘Dikgerekgere’ in Giyani on Tuesday.
The programme aims to improve the province’s road network through blading, re-graveling and de-bushing.
The premier said companies awarded tenders need to complete their work or risk being blacklisted on the government’s tendering system.
She also cautioned government officials in the supply chain and procurement departments to stop approving government projects without a budget.
"When you commit and there is money, go build that road. When you commit, there is money and you don't build the road, I'm coming after you.
"When you are a service provider, you are appointed, you don't do the work, we are going to blacklist you," she warned.
