Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba says the provincial government will assist families in repatriating the remains of those who died in Tuesday’s bus crash.

An investigation is underway following the death of ten people in a bus accident on the N1 around Makhado in Limpopo.
The bus was en route to Johannesburg from Zimbabwe when the accident happened just before midnight.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety said all the deceased, five males and five females, are reportedly foreign nationals.
The premier’s spokesperson, Thilivhali Muavha, said the provincial government is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure that the families of the deceased receive the necessary support.
"Premier Ramathuba emphasised the critical importance of road safety, particularly on long-distance routes frequently used by buses and heavy-duty vehicles.
“She called on all road users, including bus drivers, operators of heavy-duty vehicles, and drivers of light-duty vehicles, to exercise the utmost vigilance and strictly adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such devastating accidents.”
