Rand Water completes maintenance at Zwartkopjes, Daleside stations
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Rand Water on Tuesday completed maintenance work at the Zwartkopjes Pump Station and Daleside Booster Station, which supply several Johannesburg suburbs.

Affected areas include Berea, Parktown, Naturena, Orlando East, Orange Farm, Lawley and Ennerdale.
Over the weekend, the utility embarked on a five-week maintenance, which is expected to be completed by the end of July.
Johannesburg Water spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala said Zwartkopjes is currently pumping at 80%, and it is anticipated that it will return to full capacity by Tuesday night.
"Meanwhile, pumping at Daleside tripped last night due to technical challenges, and subsequently, there was no pumping overnight.
"However, pumping resumed today at 12:00, and it is currently pumping at 50%."
"In the meantime, arrangements have been made for alternative water supply. Although the larger Rand Water maintenance has been completed, it will take several days for systems to recover.
"Residents should start to see an improved water supply by Thursday morning."
