Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Domestic
carrier, SA Express says it will suspend all its operation until further notice
starting from Wednesday.

The airline says the decision comes after the recent developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The ministry of health announced last night that close to 85 patients have tested positive from the virus.
On Sunday the President Cyril Ramaphosa declared a travel ban on high-risk countries starting from March 18 this year and urged South African not to travel to high-risk countries.
In a statement, the domestic carrier says the decision will affect both SA Express customers and staff; however, customers will be accommodated on alternative flights.
“All non-critical SA Express staff will be placed on compulsory leave during this time. The airline will utilise this period to review its current network and streamline operations for improved efficiency,” says the airline in a statement.
SA Express says it will provide information on any additional developments in time.
