This is according to results published in the Trac2020 report released by Corruption Watch and the Senior Researcher at Overseas Development Institute (ODI) on Wednesday.

ODI Researcher Stephen Gelb says out of four privately owned media businesses, only Naspers scored the high marks for transparency.

“I think it is important to mention the media sector and four companies, but I didn’t include on the chart. But three of those companies that are privately-owned that I think the media people will know who they are. Three of them scored extremely low marks with one exception, which is Naspers, scored rather poorly in this particular project and that is something that we particularly have to look at.”
