The South African Human Rights Commission has launched an investigation into Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie.

McKenzie has come under fire for his social media posts dating back from 2011 where he allegedly used the K-word on referring to black people.
The human rights watchdog opened an investigation after receiving complaints from political parties and individuals.
McKenzie earlier vowed to "deal" with podcasters who made distasteful comments about Coloured community in one of their episodes.
His Patriotic Alliance party has laid criminal charges against the podcasters.
Commission spokesperson Wisani Baloyi said they have sent an allegation letter to McKenzie.
"Following assessment of the contents, the coommission is of the view that utterances made
by Minister McKenzie are prima facie violations of the provisions of the Promotion of Equality
and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act."
The chapter nine institution says it will determine the best way forward which may include instituting proceedings in the relevant Equality Court.
"Given his position, Minister McKenzie’s conduct is expected to conform to ethical standards
that is becoming of a minister and a Member of Parliament," he said.
