SANDF completes preliminary investigation into cause of Waterkloof Air Force Base fire
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) says the preliminary investigation into Sunday afternoon’s fire at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Pretoria has been completed.
The fire broke out at the Bulk Fuel Depot, sending a dark cloud of smoke across parts of Tshwane.
SANDF spokesperson Andries Mahapa says the report will be compiled and given to the Chief of the SANDF to apply his mind.
“When the Chief of the SANDF has fully studied the report and gave his guidelines, it will then be communicated to all members of the media as earlier promised.To this effect, a Board of Inquiry has been convened,” says Mahapa
