SANParks hit by Eskom power outage
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
The South African National Parks (SANParks) says the Lower Sabie and Crocodile Bridge Rest camps in the Kruger National Park were both hit by an electricity outage from Eskom after Monday night's severe storms.

SANParks spokesperson Isaac Phaahla says generators have been brought in, but these do not generate enough power.
"Fortunately we do have generators in both camps, although at Lower Sabie it covers certain sections and not the entire camp. We are currently waiting for an update from Eskom as to how far the repairs are.
"It is a matter outside our hands and we are asking tourists to be patient as Eskom attempts to sort out the problem."
This is a peak season for the Kruger National Park with tourists expected to flock to the Park during the winter school holiday.
