SBV warns against bogus trucks collecting cash
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Cash solutions security company SBV has warned of bogus cash trucks collecting money from retail outlets.

The warning comes after an incident last week where a van purporting to be from the company attempted to pick up cash from a retail outlet in Pretoria West.
It is alleged that the suspects used a cloned SBV license plate and wore outfits similar to the SBV uniforms when trying to pick up the money from the store.
SBV says the vehicle does not belong to the company.

Group CEO Mark Barrett has commended its customers for being vigilant and reporting the incident.
“While this type of incident is unusual, it is a reminder that this is a high crime season and criminals are becoming increasingly sophisticated and brazen. We do not tolerate crime and our Investigations Unit works closely with the SAPS and other stakeholders to protect our people and assets.”
