Police in Limpopo are searching for a 10-year-old boy who disappeared after he was apparently attacked by crocodiles while swimming in the Phalala river near Abbotspoort.

The boy was swimming with friends on Tuesday when he disappeared.
The other boys told authorities they saw him being snatched by a crocodile before he went missing.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says members of the provincial search and rescue are still searching for the victim in the crocodile-infested river.
"According to further reports, while they were on the search, a number of crocodiles were seen in the river, and surprisingly, some of the community members were crossing the river.
"In the process, they had to apply their advanced techniques to ensure that the crocodiles move in order for them to proceed with the search. Unfortunately, the body of the boy was not found, but the search operation is still ongoing," he said.
