Seven minority parties (AIC, ICM, PAC, UDM, ATM, NFP & COPE) have resolved to support the motion of no confidence against the Ekurhuleni Mayor Tania Campbell.

This as the ANC in the metro moves to oust Campbell during a council meeting scheduled for Wednesday.
Ekurhuleni Mayor Tania Campbell says she will continue to serve from the opposition benches if the motion to remove her succeeds.
The city's council programming committee on Thursday, last week approved the motion of no-confidence debate against her.
A motion was submitted by the ANC caucus claiming that Campbell failed to consult communities when drawing up budgets.
The minority caucus state that concerns about instability had been previously raised since the coalition government took over.
"We have previously raised concerns about the instability in the institution since the facade of the DA-led “multiparty” coalition takeover of government. Post a series of resignations over the past couple of months, inclusive of the former MMC of Finance, the Leader of Executive Business and the Chief of Staff to name but a few, it demonstrates a glaring example of the cardinal catastrophe that this potentially great municipality has unfortunately been subjected to,” it said in a statement.
"Many of our townships are facing neglect in the provision of service delivery. These include and not limited to the lack of waste collection in townships, interrupted provision of electricity , water stoppages, traffic lights not being fixed, potholes which have become a norm throughout the city. No new roads are being built and with the rainy season upon us, the storm water infrastructure across the city remains vulnerable resulting in continued excess flooding, damaging infrastructure.
"We have also cautioned the executive mayor of our concerns in relation to the financial instability in the city. It is safe to say that indeed the city is in a state of financial crisis and in the brink of a collapse.”
