Shona Ferguson dies from Covid-19 complications

The family of executive producer, actor and co-founder of Ferguson films, Shona Ferguson, has confirmed his passing.

In a statement, the family says Ferguson died on Friday at noon due to complications from Covid-19.
Ferguson started his acting career on the TV series, Generations as Ace, then moved to the Venda soap Opera, Muvhango as Dr. Leabua.
From that role, he gained fame and later co-founded Ferguson films with his wife Connie.
They both starred in the production house's first series Rockville which took South Africa by storm.
He recently created the TV series Kings of Jo'Burg, a crime fantasy series that follows the Masire brothers who rule Johannesburg criminal underworld.
The Ferguson family has asked for privacy to process his loss.
