Six die in Polokwane crash

Six people were killed and two sustained injuries in a head-on collision near Nyl Toll Plaza in Polokwane.

Limpopo police spokesperson Maphure Manamela says a white van carrying four passengers allegedly experienced a wheel puncture causing it to swerve in the opposite lane.
"Thereby colliding head-on with a sedan also with four occupants.

"Two passengers and the driver from the bakkie and two passengers, including a 13-year-old girl from the sedan died instantly, whereas the driver of the sedan died later in hospital."
Manamela says the two survivors, including a six-year-old child are recovering in hospital.
A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
