Son takes dad's car for a fast and furious drive
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Gauteng traffic police say a 16-year-old boy was apprehended by officials for driving way over the maximum speed limit.

The minor was caught speeding at 168km/h in a 60km/h zone on the R55 in Laudium in the southwest of Tshwane.
The boy allegedly took his dad's VW Golf GTI without his permission on Tuesday.
Gauteng community safety's Ofentse Morwane says the minor tried to make a run for it, but was caught after he crashed into the barriers at a construction site.
"It is not clear at this point in time whether he was under any influence."
He was detained at Erasmia police station where his father was called.
Morwane says the 16-year-old has been charged with reckless and negligent driving, exceeding the general speed limit, driving without a licence and defeating the ends of justice.
"It is not clear as to where he was heading to."
