State rests case in Senzo Meyiwa trial
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The end is in sight for the long-running Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, after the state announced on Thursday that it has closed its case.

The marathon trial has been running for the past three years.
State prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi said the state will not call any new witnesses to testify.
"That concludes the leading of the evidence for the state, and we close the state’s case. It's been three years since the state started leading evidence, and the state now formally closes its case."
Five men are before the High Court in Pretoria for the 2014 murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain.
The accused Bongani Ntanzi, Muzi Sibiya, Mthobisi Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa, and Fisokuhle Ntuli have since pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms, and ammunition.
Meyiwa was shot and killed in Vosloorus at the home of his then-girlfriend and singer, Kelly Khumalo.
