Students demand overhaul of NSFAS executive
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The South Africa Union of Students (SAUS) has called on Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande to overhaul the management of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.

The call comes after Nzimande dissolved the NSFAS board on Thursday, following the resignation of the board chairperson Ernest Khoza.
Khosa and the SACP Nzimande are accused of corruption and financial mismanagement at the student financial aid scheme by the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA).
SAUS Spokesperson Asive Dlanjwa says they want a complete overhaul of the NSFAS management.
"This dissolution, albeit overdue, we vehemently welcome as a step towards saving and protecting the gains of our revolution, we are further calling for the complete and total overhaul of the management and executive leadership of NSFAS."
"This decision, whilst we reasonably expect that this might to an extent have a bearing on the operations of NSFAS, NSFAS will carry on executing its operations and ensure that they honor their obligations to all its beneficiaries."
