‘Sunday Evenings’ case postponed to 2020
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
The high court in Pretoria has postponed the case against the former deputy commissioner of the South African Revenue Service (Sars) Ivan Pillay and the two former senior revenue officials to February 2020.

Ivan Pillay, Johan van Loggerenberg and Andries Janse van Rensburg appeared in court on Monday.
The trio are accused of involvement in the so-called Sars ‘rogue unit’ and bugging offices of the Scorpions and the National Prosecuting Authority.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Gauteng Phindi Mjonodwane says the postponement is meant to allow prosecutions head Shamila Batohi to consider the representations made by the accused.
