Suspects in murder of two women in Polokwane to remain behind bars

The five accused in the murder of two businesswomen in Polokwane appeared in the local magistrate’s court on Monday.

The two victims, Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane and Tebogo Mphuti, were shot and killed execution-style at Magnavia in Polokwane earlier this month.
One of the suspects is the husband of one of the victims, who was arrested in hospital after attempting suicide.
The motive for the killings is not yet known.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the suspects were arrested at different addresses in Ekhuruleni, Elseburg, Katlehong and Germiston.
"The red Hyundai Accent which belongs to (one of the suspects John Richard) Zulu. It is believed was used in the commission of the murders. The husband Leshabane, one of the deceased, was later arrested in the hospital where he was admitted," says Malabi-Dzhangi.
The matter has been postponed to Monday to profile the accused, who will remain in custody.
