Ten Kruger National Park employees test positive for COVID-19

The Kruger National Park’s Lower Sabie rest camp has
temporarily closed after 10 employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Affected employees are now in isolation.
Spokesperson for the South African National Parks, Ike Phaahla, says Thursday’s decision was informed by a spike in the number of infected employees.
“All visitors who are still in the camp have been informed of the situation and offered alternative accommodation at unaffected camps or postponement of their visit."
The rest camp is expected to open again after decontamination.
“People with confirmed bookings are being contacted by the reservation teams," he adds.
“SANParks will continue to monitor all staff closely.”
