A new report by Statistics South Africa shows that a large number of white South Africans are set to emigrate during the course of the next three years.

Statistician-general Risenga Maluleke released the 2022 mid-year population estimates in Pretoria on Thursday.
The report shows that South Africa's population has increased to 60.6 million people.
Maluleke said while a majority of African migrants are expected to land in Gauteng by 2026, many of white South Africans will be leaving.
The Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Gauteng experienced the largest number of South Africans leaving the country.
This while Gauteng and the Western Cape reported the highest influx of international migrants.
"For the period 2021 to 2026, international migration will be led by African migrants at about 600 000, whereases we can see that while there is an inwards migration, outward migration for the white population group is showing for the period of 2021 to 2026 will be about 43,516 and Asians will be sitting at 40,979,” said Maluleke.
During this period five of the country’s provinces are expected to have a positive net migration of people.
“Gauteng is estimated to experience the largest inflow of migrants of approximately 1 443 978 in-migrants," Maluleke said.
