Farm owner Zachariah Olivier and his two employees, Rudolph De Wet and William Musora, are expected to submit a formal bail application.

The trio allegedly shot and killed Maria Makgato and Lucia Ndlovu and fed their bodies to pigs at Onvervaght farm in Sebayeng outside Polokwane in August.

This will be their third court appearance.

Their previous bail application was postponed to allow the defence to consult with clients.

“The matter is then postponed to 10 September 2024 for bail application in respect of applicants 2 and 3 and possibly applicant number 1,” Magistrate Arshard Chaia said during their previous appearance.

“All three accused will remain in custody up until then.

Makgato and Ndlovu were shot while collecting expired food at the farm.

Ndlovu’s husband, Mabutho Ncube, who was with them at the time, was also shot but survived the incident.

Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities Sindisiwe Chikunga and Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba will attend Tuesday’s proceedings.
