Three arrested for murder, kidnapping of Pakistani businessman & colleague
Gauteng police have rescued a Pakistani businessman who was kidnapped in an incident that left his business partner dead.
The two business partners were attacked at their hardware store in August.
A woman was killed at the scene of the robbery, while her business partner was kidnapped for ransom.
Police spokesperson Amanda Van Wyk said three suspects were arrested at various locations in Gauteng.
"The victim of kidnapping was rescued from an address in Lawley and reunited with his family.
"Two suspects are in police holding cells while one is under police guard in hospital. The suspect sustained a gunshot wound after trying to disarm a police officer during his arrest.”
The three will face charges of murder, kidnapping and attempted murder when they appear in court.
