Cape Town metro police have arrested three men near Table Mountain.

The trio is suspected of attempting to scam international tourists through the use of a fraudulent card machine near Table Mountain.
SANParks spokesperson JP Louw says the suspects used a fraudulent card device to attempt to scam international tourists.
“The suspects tried withdrawing 4000 pounds, but the transaction was cancelled, and the tourists also blocked their cards, and no money was therefore withdrawn."
Louw says the vehicle was flagged and later located by metro police officers in the Green Point area.
"The suspects were arrested for driving with false plates and possession of a card scamming device. No financial losses were incurred by the victims as the attempted transactions were unsuccessful."
