A group of seven suspects, including four police officers and a Tshwane metro police cop, are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on charges of corruption, armed robbery and kidnapping.

Two men, who were dressed in full police uniform, were arrested by the Hawks on Monday and Tuesday this week.
The arrests came after the group were allegedly involved in an armed robbery which took place two weeks ago in Malvern, east of Johannesburg.
It is alleged that 10 suspects, of which two were dressed in full police uniform, robbed a businesswoman at her home.
"The armed suspects allegedly gained forced entry in the premises, threatened the occupants, demanded money and cellular phone,” says Hawks spokesperson Philani Nkwalase.
"They searched the house, forcefully opened the banking App of the complainant and instructed her to do a quick release of R200 000, which they noticed in her business account, however, the bank refused to release the amount on short notice.
"The suspects drove with her to the bank to withdraw some money from her savings and also asked her to get more from her relatives."
The businesswoman is estimated to have lost approximately R83 000 during the robbery.
The Hawks are still searching for the remaining three suspects.
