TV personality Vinolia ‘V-Mash’ Mashego passes away

Former Jam Alley presenter and actress Vinolia V-Mash Mashego, has died.

The news was confirmed by her father Collins Mashego, who said that Vinolia's body was discovered on Monday morning at her house in Mamelodi East.
"This is a bitter pill to swallow for the entire family. My wife is sleeping and is devastated. Vinolia stayed alone in a RDP house in Mamelodi East,” he said.
"Her only illness was a manageable asthma. It wasn't that dangerous.”
The Mashego family believes that Vinolia passed away on Friday, but only alerted by her neighbours after they had not seen her for a few days.
"Neighbours who saw her every morning, did not see her yesterday (Sunday) they phoned us to tell us they did not see her.
"We rushed to the house and knocked around but there was not answer. But we thought that she may have left in a hurry.
"This morning when we went there to check if she is back, we had to break the door only to find her sleeping dead," added Mr Mashego.
It's expected the Vinolia will be buried this Friday.
