Two arrested in Northern Cape with R5000 worth of copper

Lieutenant Sergio Kock said the men aged 37 and 42, were arrested on Friday after police followed up on information that two men were travelling in a taxi with suspected stolen copper.
The men were travelling from Barkly West to Kimberley.
"Police stopped and searched the particular taxi on the R31 Road not far from Barkly West and found the suspects with two bags copper," he said.
"The bags contained three rolls of copper cable, 12 padlocks, eight tap heads and 17 round copper rings.
The estimated value of the copper is R5000."
The men are expected to appear in the Barkly West Magistrate's Court soon.
