Two killed, 18 injured in Moloto Road crash

The notorious Moloto Road has claimed the lives of another two people following a head-on collision between a truck and a bus.

The crash, which took place on Monday morning, left eighteen others injured.
Spokesperson for the Department of Safety in Mpumalanga Moeti Mmusi says the victims were declared dead while being transported to a nearby hospital.
"Twelve people sustained serious injuries, while six sustained minor injuries and have been transported to various hospitals.”
Police are investigating two cases of culpable homicide.
In November, the R573 road – dubbed the road of death - claimed two lives leaving 39 others injured when a bus they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed into nearby bushes.
