Two killed in Springs mortuary vehicle fire
Updated | By Lebohang Ndashe
Two people were killed when the mortuary vehicle they were travelling in caught fire in Springs on Thursday.

The vehicle was in the process of transporting a body from the hospital when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
The Ekurhuleni metro police say the driver was still inside, while the second victim was found next to a large fallen tree.
“It is alleged that the mortuary vehicle came from fetching the body at the hospital, and it was asked by the passenger, which was the family of the deceased, to pass through where the deceased passed away in order to take his spirit,” said Ekurhuleni’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
During this, the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
Paramedics declared both the driver and passenger dead at the scene.
