Updated | By Nokukhanya Mntambo
The University of South Africa (Unisa) will rename one of three historic buildings at the Muckleneuk campus in Pretoria after struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

The move to rename the Theo van Wyk building forms part of the institution’s renewal and transformation plans.
Various stakeholders were a part of a rigorous process of identifying individuals who contributed to transformation in the country's and the university.
"The reason really for renaming the building is to try and align to the university being this African university, being transforming some of the areas together with stakeholders," says Khanya Mahlare, executive director of Institutional Advancement.

Radipere will be named after the AJH van der Walt building where he died in 2017.
