WATCH: Another hijacked building on fire in Joburg CBD
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
Firefighters rushed to quell another fire that broke out at a hijacked building in the Johannesburg CBD on Friday.

Joburg emergency services spokesperson Xolile Khumalo says only one person received treatment for smoke inhalation.
"The call was reported to EMS just before 10 a.m. on Friday morning. It is a three-story building that appears to be hijacked. All the people who were inside the building have been evacuated to safety, and no injuries have been reported.
“The fire started on the ground floor where the residents have built shacks inside the buildings," says Khumalo.
The incident comes just a month after an inferno at a hijacked building in the Joburg CBD claimed the lives of more than 70 people and left 60 others injured.
The story made international headlines and reopened the debate on abandoned and illegally occupied buildings in the inner city.
Joburg MMC for Public Safety, Mgcini Tshwaku, who was also on the scene on Friday, lauded the speedy response of the city’s emergency services.
"There is going to be some investigation in terms of what really happened. We are actually happy with the EMS that has responded on time," he said.
