WATCH: Protesting University of Limpopo students torch building

Academic activities at the University of Limpopo have been suspended following a violent protest at its Turfloop campus.

Students are furious after National Students Financial Aid Scheme and the university management failed to pay rent for students who reside off-campus since February.
On Wednesday some buildings at the institution were set alight by angry demonstrators, who overpowered the security guards and police, storming campus.
Staff members and some students who were not taking part in the protest had to be escorted out by security.
Limpopo police and university management could not be reached for comment.
