Water supply outage to hit Themba, surrounding areas
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
A planned water supply interruption will affect several areas in and around Themba on Thursday, due to critical pipeline upgrade work.

In a statement on Wednesday, the City of Tshwane confirmed it had been informed by Magalies Water that the interruption would take place from 07:00 to 17:00.
The outage is due to the connection of a newly constructed 450mm pipeline to the Klipdrift Water Treatment Works and to integrate it into the city’s water distribution network.
"To carry out the tie-in works, both the inlet and outlet of the Babelegi Reservoir will be closed," the city said.
"As a result, residents and businesses in the affected areas may experience low water pressure or a complete loss of supply during this period."
The areas expected to be affected include Babelegi Industries, Mandela Village, Marokolong, Portion 9 and Ramotse.
The City of Tshwane has urged residents to store sufficient water ahead of the shutdown.
The municipality also assured the public that supply is expected to resume once the connection is completed later in the day.
