A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in the southern interior of the Eastern Cape until and including Thursday.

Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.


Gauteng: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy from afternoon.

Mpumalanga: Early morning fog patches in places along the escarpment and Highveld where it will be cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the southern Highveld, becoming fine in places in the north-east from the afternoon. It will be hot in the Lowveld.

Western Cape: Hot over the north-eastern interior where there will be isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and warm. Fog patches are expected along the coast in the morning and light rain along the south and south-west coast from afternoon.
