Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
The private investigator charged in connection with the murder of organised crime detective Charl Kinnear has been denied bail.

Zane Kilian appeared in the Bellville Regional Court on Thursday.
The 39-year-old was arrested last September, shortly after the Anti-Gang Unit boss was assassinated outside his home.
Kilian is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority in the Western Cape Eric Ntabazalila says judgment is on step closer to of justice for Kinnear.
"As the NPA we welcome this decision. It's a decision that is heading towards the right direction of ensuring justice of the deceased and his family.
“But it is still a long way to go as the investigation is still ongoing.”
Killian is expected back in court on April 15.
