Derek Watts on MBD
Updated | By Michael Savage

Derek Watts, one of the most respected personalities in South African television today, joined Martin Bester Drive on Thursday 21 November 2013 to share his stories with us.
Derek has been a journalist for more than 25 years, presenting on South African television since 1985. Derek has been an anchor and presenter on Carte Blanche since the programme's inception in 1988.
Derek Watts and Carte Blanche consistently rank amongst the top 10 in SA television ratings and boast a local viewership of over 500 000 people every week.
Carte Blanche has developed a high degree of credibility in South African television journalism and has been awarded more than 100 local and international awards for quality stories that have made a difference.
While with us, we alerted Derek to a particular music video, recently launched from RufioYOLO and Jack Parow, called Groeipyne which features both Derek Watts and long time former co-anchor Ruda Landman in carboard-cut out form.
Naturally, we asked Derek to give Parow a call and have a little bit of 'Investigative Journalism' fun!
