Amajita return home as Kings of Africa
Updated | By Bulletin / Jacaranda FM
The South Africa U20 team landed at OR Tambo International on Tuesday morning to a raucous welcome from supporters.

Amajita has been crowned U-20 Africa Cup of Nations champions after edging Morocco 1-0 in the final in Cairo, Egypt.
Midfielder Gomolemo Kekana fired home the winning goal in the 70th minute.
It was revenge for South Africa, which lost its only other appearance in the final against Morocco in 1997.
Amajita has also qualified for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup, which will take place later this year in Chile, as one of the four U20 AFCON semi-finalists representing the continent at the global event.
The team swept the individual awards with Tylon Smith named Best Player, while goalkeeper Fletcher Lowe earned Best Goalkeeper and Man of the Match in the final.
