Blitzbokke’s campaign back on track in Paris

After their shock defeat at the hands of Scotland in their opening Pool A fixture, the HSBC Sevens World Series leaders South Africa managed to get the campaign back on track with a 35-5 victory over Japan on day one at the Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris on Saturday.

The Cecil Afrika-inspired Blitzbokke lead 14-0 at halftime.
The South Africans cantered in for three more converted tries in the second half while Japan closed out the scoring in the match with an unconverted try in the final minute.
