Bulls part ways with Springbok wing Sbu Nkosi

Springbok Sbu Nkosi has left the Blue Bulls, the Pretoria outfit announced on Monday.

In a statement, the club said the two parties reached a mutual agreement which would see the 27-year-old leave Loftus Versfeld with immediate effect.
"Nkosi’s adventure at the Vodacom Bulls comes to an end with the conclusion of the 2022/23 rugby calendar.
Nkosi was part of the Springbok squad which won the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
“I would like to thank Sbu for all that he has contributed towards our campaigns during his time with us. I know that it wasn’t an easy time for him personally, but I am confident that the support we provided to him was invaluable.
“Having a Springbok winger of his calibre in our team has been a pleasure. I know that he now feels as though it is the best time to move on and we respect his wishes.” said CEO Edgar Rathbone
Nkosi made headlines last year after going absent without leave for three weeks.
He was later found safe at his family house in Emalahleni.
A recent social media post by the Barberton-born athlete put further strain on the relationship between the Bulls and the former Sharks player.
