Bulls in pursuit of fast start
Bulls' director of rugby Jake White is hoping for a customary fast start from his team when they clash with Edinburgh in their United Rugby Championship quarter-final at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Though the Bulls have vacated the blocks better than any other team in the URC, their sluggish start the last time the teams met in Edinburgh in the European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) left White with much to lament.
White believes Edinburgh will come with a plan to try and disrupt the Bulls but remains sanguine about his team's prospects.
Elsewhere To The Last drop hosts Brenden Nel and Liam Del Carme both caution the Sharks need to tread carefully in their quarter-final against Munster in Durban.
The visitors have a well-earned reputation for winning knock-out matches away from home, and the Sharks will have to display greater game management than they have this season to get the job done.
The same, they say, perhaps applies to the Stormers who take on Glasgow Warriors in Scotland on Friday.
They are without playmaker Damian Willemse and though their attacking threat persists, our hosts warn the visitors will have to pull out all the stops in defence to progress to the semi-finals.
