Chippa United appoint Luc Eymael
Chippa United have appointed Luc Eymael as head coach after parting ways with Lehlohonolo Seema on Wednesday.
Eymael’s appointment follows a decision by the club on Tuesday to place Seema on suspension.
“Our ambition was to have an improved season in comparison to how the team has been fighting relegation in the past few campaigns,” says club chairman Siviwe Mpengezi.
The Chilli Boys have won only one of its eight matches in the DSTV Premiership this season.
Mpengezi says Eymael needs to get the club into the top eight.
"One of Mr Eymael responsibilities is a top eight finish for this season. This where the club board can also decide on his longer term contract with the team."
Chippa United are currently 14th on the log.
Eymael first match in charge will be against SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium when the season resumes on 6 January.
