Chippa United rescind Luc Eymael appointment
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Chippa United have rescinded the appointment of Belgian Luc Eymael as head coach.

The club has come under fire from the Eastern Cape provincial government and the South African Football Association (SAFA) for appointing Eymael.
Eymael’s appointment by the club was announced on Wednesday but subsequently withdrawn 24 hours later.
He was fired in July this year after referring to Young Africans FC supporters in Tanzania as monkeys and dogs.
"After having announced Mr Eymael's appointment until the end of the season on Wednesday, 23 December 2020, the Club has considered public outrage,” Chippa said in a statement on Thursday.

"There was also the reputational damage caused to our brand; and that of our stakeholders, partners as well as our sponsors."
The Chili Boys parted ways with Lehlohonolo Seema after a poor start to the season.
Chippa have won one out of its eight games in the 2020/21 DSTV Premiership.
"We would like to clarify that the initial decision to make this appointment was based on Mr. Eymael's coaching track record, where we felt he was the best person to take the Club towards our desired top half finish in this DSTV Premiership season,” the statement said.
The club said it would announce the appointment of a new coach in due course.
