Dijana, Morozova victorious at Comrades Marathon

South Africa’s Tete Dijana has won the men’s race at the 95th edition of the Comrades Marathon.

He won Sunday’s race in a time of 05:30:36.
The 95th annual marathon was downhill from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
Dijana, who hails from Lonely Park village in Mahikeng has been running since he was a pupil at Lapologang Secondary School.
He is currently employed as a security guard at the Mahikeng Campus of the North West University, and took leave a few months ago to intensify his preparations for the Comrades marathon.
Defending champion Edward Mothibi finished in second place in the men’s race.
Alexandra Morozova from Russia won the women’s race.
Morozova's victory came after she approached the Pietermaritzburg High Court to secure her spot in the marathon.
