Du Toit was a 'legendary' figure - CSA
Updated | By Jacasport
Cricket South Africa has heard with great shock and sadness of the passing earlier today of Duif du Toit, one of South Africa’s outstanding sports photographers, after a short illness.

“Duif has been a legendary figure on the touchlines and boundary ropes of South African sport throughout the post-isolation period,” commented CSA Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat. “He was a consummate professional and the quality of his work measured up to the best international standards.
“He covered our Proteas in action both at home and abroad and our players, who had the greatest respect for him, valued his friendship, not to mention the wonderful images he captured of their careers. Many of these will feature in the collectors’ item book of South African cricket that we will be bringing out next year to commemorate CSA’s 25th anniversary.
“On behalf of CSA I extend our deepest sympathy to his family, his friends and his colleagues in the sports photographic industry.”
