Erasmus fitness blow for Sundowns
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Mamelodi Sundowns striker Kermit ‘Romeo’ Erasmus could be out of action for up to six weeks.

Erasmus suffered a sprained ankle injury during Masandawana’s 2-1 league win over Stellenbosch FC last Saturday.
The 30-year-old striker’s recovery is expected to take six weeks.
“I think everybody saw on TV how the injury happened playing Stellenbosch and even ourselves, we were quite worried. It looked it a serious injury,” says club doctor Carl Tabane.
“However, I am happy to say that it was not bad as we thought about, he’s got a great two ankle sprain and the outlook is quite good, no operative surgery will be needed.
“We are going to manage everything consecutively, he’s actually commenced with his rehabilitation and he is looking quite well. The estimated return to play should be about four to six weeks. It might be earlier because of our experience with working with injuries, so it’s not as bad as it looked and we happy to say that he will be back soon.”
The Brazilians will play relegation-threatened Black Leopards at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
