Faf: I will give AB 100 % support

Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis, who also led the Proteas to a 5-nil whitewash in the home ODI Series against the Aussies, said he would gladly serve under AB de Villiers and give him 100% support while also fulfilling a role within the leadership core.

He addressed the media at the team's arrival at OR Tambo Airport on returning from Down Under this afternoon.
The Proteas lost their first ever day night test under lights against Australia in Adelaide with the pink ball by 7 wickets, but won the test series after winning the first two tests in Perth and Hobart.
Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis said he had challenged the ICC decision handed down to him as he was very unhappy with the manner in which the saga was handled.
"I don't feel I did anything wrong. All I was doing was shining the ball but obviously the ICC disagree," said the skipper.
"Maybe this is a good opportunity for all of us now to really look at how exactly the laws of the game work. The general feeling is that it was blown out of proportion so it would be good if I could help make it that bit clearer," he concluded.
Team Manager Dr Mohammad Moosajee reiterated that AB de Villiers remained the Proteas' Test captain.
Du Plessis, who also led the Proteas to a 5-nil whitewash in the home ODI Series against the Aussies, said he would gladly serve under AB de Villiers and give him 100% support while also fulfilling a role within the leadership core.
“I don’t see it as a
massive transition when AB takes over. He will always have
100% support from me, he knows that. When he’s captain, my role is to let him
run the ship, respect that, but in doing that give him my complete support.”
" To sit here today having beaten Australia, is a huge step towards out goal of regaining that number one ranking," he add
