Munster has confirmed that Springbok lock RG Snyman will be out of action for a considerable period of time after suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.

Snyman picked up the injury during his debut for Munster in a PRO14 match against Leinster on Saturday.
“The lock will meet with the specialist next to discuss surgery and management,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday.
The injury will see Snyman miss the Springboks’ Rugby Championship fixtures, which have been set down for November and December in New Zealand.
Snyman, who made his debut on Saturday alongside fellow World Cup winner Damian de Allende, is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Munster also confirmed that Dave Kilcoyne and former Stormers lock Jean Kleyn have also been ruled out for the immediate future with both players requiring rehabilitation periods for respective ankle and neck ligament injuries.
