Jantjies and Combrinck relegated to the bench

Lions coach Johan Ackermann has opted to move Elton Jantjies and Ruan Combrinck to the replacements' bench ahead of the Lions' Super Rugby clash against the Blues at Ellis Park on Saturday.

The pair are part of several changes made by the Johannesburg side following last weekend's defeat to the Sharks in Durban.
In the forward pack, hooker Robbie Coetzee returns to the starting line-up and Willie Britz will start at flank.
As a result, both Willie Wepener and Warwick Tecklenburg will provide cover from the bench.
Meanwhile, in the backline, Marnitz Boshoff shifts back to flyhalf, after he started at fullback against the Sharks.
Courtnall Skosan, JW Jonker and Coenie van Wyk all earn spaces in the starting XV, while Jantjies and Combrinck will provide cover from the bench.
The match will kicks-off at 3pm and will be preceded by a Vodacom Cup clash between the Golden Lions and Valke.
Lions team: Coenie van Wyk, JW Jonker, Deon van Rensburg, Stefan Watermeyer, Courtnall Skosan, Marnitz Boshoff, Faf de Klerk, Warren Whiteley (Captain), Willie Britz, Jaco Kriel, Franco van der Merwe, Franco Mostert, Julian Redelinghuys, Robbie Coetzee, Schalk van der Merwe.
Replacements: Willie Wepener, Corne Fourie, Ruan Dreyer, MB Lusaseni, Warwick Tecklenburg, Ross Cronje, Elton Jantjies, Ruan Combrinck.
