JMPD nabs 140 drunk drivers across city

The Johannesburg metro police have arrested 140 motorists for drinking and driving during the past week.

The operation was conducted across the city from July 8th to July 14th.
"The JMPD maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards drunk driving,” warned spokesperson Xolani Fihla.
“We are committed to removing intoxicated drivers from our roads and ensuring the safety of all road users.
"If you are consuming alcohol, arrange for alternative transportation or designate a sober driver.
"The JMPD is committed to keeping our roads safe. By working together, we can reduce drunk driving and create a safer environment for everyone.”
